Driving for Achievement: Miami Alumni chapter Raises Over $30,000 for Scholarships

On Saturday, May 2, 2026, the fairways of Miami Springs Golf & Country Club were more than a perfect backdrop for a great round of golf — they were a launching pad for the next generation of Miami's leaders.The Miami Alumni Kappa Foundation, Inc. and the Miami Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity hosted the 5th Annual Driving for Achievement Charity golf tournament, benefiting college scholarships for Miami-area high school students. Through the collective effort of golfers, sponsors, and community supporters, the event raised over $30,000 — a milestone that will directly fund the educational futures of local youth.

Special recognition goes to The Rodney & Michelle Adkins Charitable Fund for their generous sponsorship of the event. Their continued commitment to this cause exemplifies the kind of community partnership that makes moments like this possible.

The tournament, held under the banner of 'Support Youth Achievement', reflects a core belief shared by Kappa Alpha Psi alumni across South Florida: that investing in young people is one of the most meaningful things a community can do.
